As a former horticulturist and garden designer, my passion has been to make ceramics to contain plants, flowers and fruit. My inspiration comes from a love of colour and pattern and from worldwide pottery traditions. My wheel thrown ceramics are about surface and rhythm and experimentation. Recently I have been taking classes drawing the human body from live models. This is leading my work towards more sculptural forms in clay.
